Artist & Curator Submission Guidelines
MoCADA’s exhibition program seeks to facilitate a contemporary dialogue between the visual arts and the political, social and historical issues relevant to the African Diaspora in a clear and concise manner. MoCADA will not present art for art’s sake as there is no contribution to MoCADA’s mission of educating the public about the arts and culture of the African Diaspora. In order to give a diverse portrayal of the Diaspora, we engage with three categories: local, national and international. MoCADA presents exhibitions from artist(s) in the local community/city, nationally, and internationally. Artists are chosen from the submitted proposals and will be given the opportunity to exhibit at our not-for profit exhibition space in the heart of the Downtown Brooklyn art district.
Joint Guidelines
Submissions are reviewed twice a year (February 15 & August 15)
