Hours
Due to the rising rates of COVID-19 in NYC, the MoCADA shop and gallery are currently closed.
While the MoCADA shop has been accepting online orders, this virus has recently severely impacted our team relegating many of us to work from home under quarantine. Understaffed for the time being, this has slowed down our processing for pickup, delivery and shipping orders. Any orders placed after December 19 will be delivered after January 3, 2022.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. *****
The MoCADA gallery at 80 Hanson Place is currently CLOSED.
To visit an exhibition when we reopen, please schedule an appointment after January 8, 2022. Appointments are based on an 1hr and 15-minute time slot, and are booked on a first come, first serve basis. All visitors must also present proof of vaccination for entry. Schedule an appointment, HERE.

Due to Mayor Di Blasio’s Key to NYC Vaccine Mandate:
- Only vaccinated visitors, who can show proof of their CDC-accepted vaccinations, will be allowed entry into the MoCADA shop and gallery.
- Anyone under the age of 12 (who is unvaccinated) MUST be accompanied by an adult who is fully vaccinated.
- We encourage all visitors to wear masks (their own or provided) and to use sanitizers made available by MoCADA, as they are required.

Arts + Advocacy
MoCADA programming is a carefully cultivated combination of Art, Education, and Community. Learn more about the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art.
PROGRAMS
The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art (MoCADA) uses the visual and performing arts as a point of departure for exploring new artistic production across a variety of disciplines. Through exhibitions and programming, MoCADA incites dialogue on pressing social and political issues facing the Africa + its diaspora and fosters a dynamic space for social justice, and the creation and continuous evolution of culture.
