
American poet, writer, commentator, activist, and educator Yolande Cornelia “Nikki” Giovanni, Jr. and beloved American novelist and social critic James Arthur Baldwin appear on SOUL!, a pioneering variety television program dedicated to African American art (dance, music, and literature) in the late 1960s and early 1970s, which was hosted by Ellis Haizlip and produced by New York City PBS affiliate, WNET.
