In this short film, MoCADA follows acclaimed photographer Marc Baptiste to Haiti as he documents a community in observance of RARA, the 300 year old annual celebration of music that unifies African and Taino cultures through Vodun. This video, which appeared in the MoCADA exhibition of the same name in January 2020, Baptiste explores the festival in its entirety, from procession and protest to performance and pageantry, to the spiritual ceremonies in between.
