Visit MoCADA Abolition House for a special installation, Earthseed by dre jácome. It’s an experimental, immersive archive inspired by Mixeca Temezcal sweat ceremonies and the protective form of pinecones. The sculpture, structure, and installation houses intimate land/body stories shared between artist dre jácome and longtime collaborator, Ximena Violante.

Location: MoCADA Abolition House, House 7A Nolan Park, Governors Island

Earthseed aims to reimagine an archive where stories are stored and protected as medicine through landback protocols in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle. 

This exhibition is made possible thanks to the Ford Foundation, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, the Coalition for Theaters of Color, NYSCA, and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development.
