FEAST: A Yoruba Project
Join us for a special presentation of FEAST: A Yoruba Project was written by playwrights Rotimi Babatunde (Nigeria), Yunior García Aguilera (Cuba), Marcos Barbosa (Brazil), Tanya Barfield (United States), and Gbolahan Obisesan (United Kingdom).
Based on Yoruba spirituality, the lives of 3 sisters (Yemoja, Osun, and Oya) on their way to a family feast are forever changed when they meet a trickster (Esu) along the way…
First premiered at the Young Vic Theatre and commissioned by the Royal Court Theatre in the United Kingdom, FEAST travels from Nigeria to Brazil, Cuba, United States, and England while unveiling the global connection between people of Yoruba descent- and the historical impact they share.
