Education is Power! Join BAJI-NY and Black Voters Matter for their bi-monthly book club, where FIGHTING BACK looks like educating ourselves about our history, current day issues, and ways we can tack action. This is not your normal book club. Get ready to discuss podcasts, articles, books, tv shows, and movies. Join us in building power through education!

For the April book club meeting, the focus will be on what it means to be Black in America from the Black immigrant perspective. We will read articles about the challenges Black immigrants are facing now and discuss how important unity is in this moment.

The in-person panel will be hosted at the MoCADA, and will include different members of the Black diaspora. Whether you’re in New York area or not, join us in person or join the Black Voters Matter livestream of the event.

All Street Gallery, a multimedia art collective and alternative art gallery curating exhibitions and original productions at the intersection of art and social justice will be joining BAJI-NY, Black Voters Matter (BVM) to facilitate an interactive art activation using collaborative art-making as a means of protest–hosted before and after the Diaspora Unity Panel.
