Event Details

The Black Lives, Black History, Black Joy, and Black Futures exhibition is now on display along the east side of the Fort Greene Park Tennis Courts and will run from November 7, 2024, to June 30, 2025. Featuring artwork by Laila Annmarie Stevens, Kira Joy Williams, Barnabas Crosby, Vanessa Clifton, and Anthony Geathers.

More than a photographic group exhibition, Black Lives, Black History, Black Joy, and Black Futures serves as a living testament to the Black community in and around Brooklyn. It captures the essence of belonging—cultures preserved in every gesture, every shared glance—carving out a future glowing with possibility. These images transform the everyday into the sacred, weaving the mundane into a quilt of lived Black experiences, tightly stitched into the fabric of this borough.

Join us on Saturday, November 23rd, from 12:00–1:30 PM to meet and mingle with the artists. Participate in an engaging activity for a chance to win one of five 6-month MoCADA memberships!
