Founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of George Zimmerman in his trial for the killing of Trayvon Martin. BYP100 has become a national collective that emphasizes building chapters throughout the country to hone in on grassroots organizing and community mobilization on local levels via the vision and leadership of Cathy Cohen. This year’s theme: Afrofuturism.
