Join us Thursday, March 23 for a special Women’s History Month edition of MoCADA Griot Talks, featuring legendary poets Staceyann Chin and Aja Monet, as they explore reclamation of self, sisterhood, heart, home, and land through the lens of their respective projects: Monet’s audio project VOICES and Chin’s Kindred on the Rock community and art preservation project.
Griot Talks is a conversation series that invites thought-leaders who share common ground to explore their projects and current events relevant to African and the diaspora. Presented by The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art (MoCADA) with generous support from NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, and the Ford Foundation.
