Join us for a session of Heirloom Improv, a workshop that empowers you to engage with the past and the future. We invite you to bring an object that reminds you of an ancestor, to use as an antenna through the time continuum.
How will you move and act in conversation with the object? How will you move with each other, responding to the object as an extension of ourselves?
Inspired by Critical Fabulation, coined by Saidiya Hartman, we unearth histories that lay dormant in our bodies and imagine new object functions for the future.
What: Heirloom Improv with Camille Steele
When: Sunday, December 6 @ 11am -12:30 pm
Where: MoCADA Culture Lab II, 10 Lafayette Avenue, 2nd FL, Brooklyn 11217
