The Blasian March proudly presents #FilipinosRiseUp: Black Filipinx Power in celebration of Filipino American History Month and the two-year anniversary of the Blasian March. Featuring artists and speakers representing the Black and Filipino diaspora, including Rohan Zhou-Lee, writer, dancer, and founder of The Blasian March. This MoCADA x A4 Bandung Artist in Residence will explore over two and a half centuries of Black-Filipino solidarity history on Turtle Island through to today. 

The special event will also include a panel discussing featuring Nikki Brown-Booker, Stephanie Chrispin, and others, and performances/readings by poet/professor Janet Stickmon, and historian/novelist Evangeline Buell.

 

Date: Wednesday, October 26, 2022

Location: MoCADA, 80 Hanson Place Brooklyn

Time: Doors open at 6:30pm (mixer); 7:30 panel + performances
