The Forgotten Occupation: Jim Crow Goes to Haiti, the acclaimed documentary by Alain Martin examining Haiti’s brutal occupation by the United Sates returns to Brooklyn for two consecutive nights.

This summer, the United States Occupation of Haiti turns 111 years. With each passing year, that occupation further recedes into a collective forgetfulness. The filmmakers of The Forgotten Occupation and MoCADA invite our fellow Brooklynites to not only see this important film, but to join our call in playing our part in the preservation of this important and tragic chapter in the history of Haiti.
