Enter the 11-part multisensory experience that pays homage and tribute to our planet. Sit at the feet of elders. Sit in a circle created by understanding. Join the ceremony, a catalyst of transformation. Finally, you can engage with this formerly virtual-only experience in real life and in real time.

ALL STREET JOURNAL: Protest With Art

The All Street Journal (ASJ) is an arts collective and grassroots activist group organizing public art demonstrations throughout New York City in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, housing justice, mental health causes, and more. Formed by born-and-raised New Yorkers in 2019, the group supports social justice movements through visually-oriented activism, creating artifacts of social movements and adding to our collective historical memory. Theda Sandiford: Hidden In Plain Sight

A dynamic presentation made up of virtual and public art exhibitions by Caribbean-American artist Theda Sandiford, “Hidden in Plain Sight” confronts the psychological impact of racial gaslighting as it has been revealed in her everyday interactions.

GROUP SHOW: Fruits of Our Labor

Explore Black identity through the prism that is the Antebellum South to witness the larger than life paintings of Julian Joseph Kyle, to the surreal, Afrofuturistic paper installations of Komikka “Martian” Patton. Continue to observe the idea of double consciousness as told through the portraiture of Rujunko Pugh who blends African and Asian cultures seamlessly, to the mind-boggling work of Venezuelan artist Francisco Pinto, whose work explores the idea of Blackness in the media and pop culture.
Rwanda Retold: 25th Anniversary of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, emerging Rwandan artists set to change the narrative of their country through their own creative expression. Providing a glimpse into the lives of different generations and how their history has impacted them, we take a look at the aftermath of what happened years ago.
